Why I Review Fight Gear
I’m Ash, a lover of martial arts, who’s trained, fought, tested and worked with fight gear for years. I’ve spent more hours than I can count selling fight gear, hitting pads, the heavy bag and especially sparring. I started Fighting Spirit because I want to share my insights on the products I’ve tried and tested along the way.
Whether you’re a first-time fighter or a seasoned Muay Thai or MMA athlete, I want to make sure you’ve got honest, first-hand fight gear insights you can trust. This site is my way of sharing everything I’ve learned, whether you watch a video or read blog, hopefully I’ve helped you choose the right product for your combat sport needs!

How do you test fight gear?
I put every piece of fight gear through its pace. From bag work to sparring over several months. I want to ensure that I learn as much as I can about a product and cover all aspects of the product when reviewing it. Which includes comfort, sizing, durability, protection and more!
Are your reviews sponsored?
Some products are provided by brands, which I’m eternally grateful for… Purchasing fight gear consistently can get pretty expensive!
Regardless of whether I’m offered product for reviews, I will always give honest feedback on every piece of fight gear I review, and if I genuinely dislike a product or brand, I simply won’t feature it.
How do I you choose which gear to review?
I pick fight gear based on a mix of my own personal interest, popularity, and pure curiosity.
If something catches my attention, whether it’s water-filled boxing gloves, flame-covered heavy bags, or the latest release from a top brand, I’m all over it. My goal is to test and review a wide variety of combat sport products so readers can find reliable insights no matter their fighting style or budget.
From traditional Thai gloves to cutting-edge MMA tech, if it looks awesome, I’ll probably review it!
